A growing number of mobility players are undergoing a digital transformation process, making their services available as a mobile app or web service. Car eWallet takes this to the next level.

With an integration into the vehicle on the one side, and an easy connection of legacy infrastructure on the other, vehicles and service providers are able to process transactions directly, instantly and securely. The user benefits in many ways: fueling or parking becomes a seamless, yet transparent experience, independent of the car model or interface.

In the beginning of 2019 Car eWallet and BayWa joined forces to pilot the concept of smart fueling. With successful live test in the field, BayWa gas stations are able to automatically facilitate transactions via the platform. “With BayWa we have found a partner who is not only open to innovations, but eager to constantly and rapidly improve their services,” Thorsten Weber, CEO of Car eWallet, says. “We are ready to roll-out smart fueling to the entire petrol station network of BayWa in the course of 2019.”

With a platform designed to be agnostic regarding hardware, software systems and user interfaces, Car eWallet plans to expand their service penetration and enable further service domains, including parking, later this year.
