- Workshops benefit from training, OE-based technical support and access to diagnostic tools
- Seamless interaction with global distribution network of the largest commercial vehicle supplier minimizes fleets downtimes
ZF [pro]Service, the multi-brand concept for commercial vehicle businesses, enables workshops with its comprehensive range of services, to leverage opportunities in a growing commercial vehicle market. For ZF [pro]Service partners, no questions remain unanswered, thanks to personal, direct contact with ZF Aftermarket experts and comprehensive digital support. Additionally, they benefit from several advantages that significantly speed up the repair process and further enhance their service quality.
Workshop concepts are particularly important for independent commercial vehicle businesses. For instance, a workshop may need to gain access to technical data and repair information on the latest truck and bus models or be able to acquire and professionally serve major customers.
Aleksander Rabinovitch, Head of Business Line Commercial Vehicles at ZF Aftermarket, emphasizes the advantages of ZF [pro]Service in this context, “A strong partner is essential to master technical challenges and remain competitive. ZF [pro]Service gives commercial vehicle companies access to the complete range of the world's largest commercial vehicle supplier. We support workshops with the latest technologies, diagnostic solutions, training and comprehensive services. This enables them to optimally prepare for the future and fully reach their potential.”
For its network, ZF [pro]Service focuses on commercial vehicle workshops with a clear customer focus, and new partners must undergo an initial assessment according to strict admission criteria. Regular audits are also part of ZF [pro]Service's quality assurance measures. The services of ZF [pro]Service have already convinced over 3,100 workshops across 89 countries to join, across the globe.
ZF [pro]Service is a unique offering on the market
ZF [pro]Service offers a state-of-the-art solution designed to maximize the uptime of truck, trailer and bus fleets. By working with highly qualified commercial vehicle workshops, ZF Aftermarket ensures efficient, high-quality maintenance. ZF [pro]Service enables its workshop partners with all its product and service offerings to improve vehicle safety, operational efficiency and service quality, ultimately reducing installation times and maximizing vehicle uptime.
The unrivalled support for ZF [pro]Service partners includes OE-backed, specialized training in 46 ZF [pro]Academy centers, regular personal visits by ZF experts and a network of call centers in 36 countries, which provide competent and fast assistance in local languages. ZF also provides access to diagnostic tools that improve fault detection and repair accuracy. In the future, workshop partners will also be able to benefit from ZF's telematics and digital solutions embedded in its predictive maintenance ecosystem, enabling early problem detection thus helping to avoid costly breakdowns. To ensure fast and efficient repairs, ZF Aftermarket offers genuine spare parts through its global dealer network, strategically located close to workshops. This proximity to authorized dealers guarantees high availability and fast turnaround times with a constantly growing parts portfolio that currently already covers a major part of daily workshop requirements across bus, trailer and truck repairs.
New diagnostic tools speed up repair process
ZF Scan is another important addition to ZF's range of services for commercial vehicle companies. It combines ZF’s previous proprietary diagnostic solutions - ZF Testman and the Original System Diagnostics (formerly under the WABCO brand) - into one user-friendly diagnostics platform for commercial vehicles, buses, trailers, and off-highway applications. ZF Scan enables convenient maintenance of all ZF components, including transmissions, brake, and chassis control systems via a single interface (DCI). It also ensures compliance with UNECE Regulation 156, thanks to SUMS (Software Update Management System) support, and meets the cybersecurity requirements of UNECE Regulation 155.
Another new diagnostic product is ZF MultiScan, a multi-brand diagnostic for which specialized software is available for different vehicle segments. The MultiScan Trailer and MultiScan Truck & Bus variants are suitable for commercial vehicle operations. Both ZF MultiScan and ZF Scan are part of the new ZF [pro]Diagnostics ecosystem.
ZF leaves the Alltrucks shareholder group
The further expansion of ZF [pro]Service is accompanied by ZF's withdrawal at the end of May from the Alltrucks workshop concept operated jointly with Bosch and Knorr-Bremse.
“We are convinced that ZF [pro]Service offers workshops enormous added value, providing a broad product portfolio for buses, trailers and trucks, as well as a comprehensive range of services from a single source,” comments Aleksander Rabinovitch. “Our partner workshops are leading the way in servicing advanced technologies, such as ZF's mBSP XBS modular brake platform, and take advantage of the great opportunities in the commercial vehicle aftermarket.”
During a short transition period, all services provided by ZF will be fully available to Alltrucks member companies.
