New ZF Board responsibilities

  • Dr. Martin Fischer hands over responsibility for the North and South America regions to Dr. Peter Holdmann on July 1, 2024

Friedrichshafen, Germany. ZF Friedrichshafen AG is partially reassigning the responsibilities of its board members. As previously announced, Dr. Martin Fischer does not seek an extension of his contract with ZF. From mid-year, Dr. Peter Holdmann will be responsible for the North and South America market regions previously led by Fischer.

New ZF Board responsibilities

Dr. Peter Holdmann was appointed to the ZF board by the supervisory board in March 2024, effective May 1. He is currently responsible for the Chassis Solutions division and the Corporate Quality department. From July 1, 2024, Holdmann will also take over responsibility for the North and South America market regions from Dr. Martin Fischer, who is leaving ZF at the end of June. The Passive Safety Technology division previously led by Fischer will now be assigned to CFO Michael Frick; the Electronics and ADAS division will be transferred to CEO Dr. Holger Klein.

Peter Holdmann, who holds a doctorate in mechanical and automotive engineering from RWTH Aachen University, has been with ZF since 2000. After holding various management positions in the Car Chassis Technology division, he assumed overall responsibility for the Chassis Modules and Chassis Systems business unit in 2008. With the acquisition of TRW Automotive in 2015, he moved to the new Active and Passive Safety Technology division and headed the Brake and Steering business from the Detroit, Michigan location in the US. Since 2019, Holdmann has headed the Car Chassis Technology division, which was transferred to the new Chassis Solutions division at the beginning of the year. On May 1, 2024, he became a member of the ZF Board of Management.
