New Head of ZF [pro]Tech sees increasing importance of workshop concepts

Experienced ZF manager Roth has already gained aftermarket experience in various management positions in Germany and abroad, which he now wants to bring to his new position: "With the rapid development of vehicle technology, the challenges for independent workshops to work on the most modern vehicles in the future are also increasing. Workshop concepts such as ZF [pro]Tech will therefore become even more important, as they provide access to first-hand technical expertise, which is becoming increasingly important." Roth began his career at ZF in 2008 as a trainee after studying business informatics. His varied career with the business includes working in Singapore for five years, and most recently as Head of the Aftermarket Business Line Passenger Cars Asia-Pacific.

The new Head of Passenger Car Service and Network Management emphasises the achievements of his predecessor: "Markus Schmitt has not only developed the concept of ZF [pro]Tech since 2009 but has also played a leading role in its implementation - with innovative ideas such as our online portal for workshops and has always done so with a high level of personal commitment."

The success of the workshop concept speaks for itself: more than 12,000 partners in Europe are convinced by ZF [pro]Tech. They appreciate the comprehensive support that the aftermarket experts from the ZF technology group provide them with in their day-to-day workshop life. This ranges from technical data and service campaigns to marketing support and an extensive training programme. In addition to regional expansion, the focus is now on the continuous further development of the concept to cater for new challenges facing workshops, in particular support in the transformation to e-mobility.

Markus Schmitt is grateful that in his almost 25 years at ZF, he has been able to place so much emphasis on customer satisfaction and workshop loyalty: "Many automotive entrepreneurs have made a conscious decision in favour of independence. However, they still need a strong partner at their side to help them future-proof their business. They also gain a lot of valuable insights from exchanging ideas in a network with other companies. Independent workshops can find all of this within the framework of ZF [pro]Tech."
