ZF Aftermarket doubles its ZF Lifeguard range of E-Fluids for electric and hybrid powertrains

To help automotive workshops remain competitive, ZF’s aftermarket division recently expanded the family of ZF Lifeguard fluids for hybrid (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs): ZF Lifeguard Hybrid 1 and 2 will be joined by Lifeguard Hybrid 3 and 4, while ZF Lifeguard eFluid 1 will be joined by eFluid 2. With the latest additions, ZF has doubled its range of E-Fluids for HEVs and EVs, covering more than 50% of electrified vehicles in Europe.

Extending the range of products with Lifeguard Hybrid 3 and 4 for transmissions from various manufacturers means that workshops can cater for more vehicle models and therefore increase their revenue. The extended range covers a wide selection of different HEV and EV models from OEMs such as Audi, BMW, NIO, Polestar, Nissan, Tesla, Toyota, VW and more. Customers can find exact model specifications and further information using the search function in the ZF Aftermarket Online Product Catalog or on the product website.

Exacting e-properties for better performance, protection and efficiency

In hybrid and electric vehicles, the fluids and oils used need to perform many tasks. In addition to delivering the highest performance and protection, they must have the correct electrical properties, and the right heat transfer and material compatibility. Furthermore, they need to cool and lubricate transmission systems.

As electric driveline systems develop torque much faster than conventional combustion engines, the highest quality fluids are required. By leveraging its OE pedigree, E-Fluids from ZF Aftermarket meet exacting standards to offer the best protection and reduced wear for the driveline, as well as increased efficiency and optimal temperature control even during heavy acceleration and recuperation.

Safety, protection and durability

Performance and reliability are meaningless without safety. ZF Lifeguard E-Fluids offer comprehensive protection. The innovative fluids reduce pressure on heavily stressed components thanks to their excellent anti-wear properties, and ability to prevent electrical short circuits. To maximize efficiency and offer maximum resistance to oxidation, ZF Lifeguard eFluid 1 and 2 is specially designed with Thermo Control Augmented Technology. ZF Lifeguard Hybrid oils are infused with Compatibility Augmented Technology that works with copper coils and polymer material to create the optimum environment.

As a true one-stop-shop, ZF Aftermarket supports its OE quality aftermarket offer with expert training to better prepare for the future of e-Mobility including high-voltage training courses for various target groups.
