ZF's All-New Commercial Vehicle Solutions Division Makes North American Debut at TMC 2022

Earlier this year, the company announced the creation of its new division, which unites ZF’s former Commercial Vehicle Technology and Commercial Vehicle Control Systems, the latter of which was formed from ZF’s May 2020 acquisition of WABCO. ZF is the largest single-source complete commercial vehicle technology supplier and integrator in North America.

“The integration of four respected brands, WABCO, TRW, Lemförder and Sachs, gives ZF the industry’s most extensive North American footprint and enables us to successfully partner with customers, no matter their needs,” said Julien Plenchette, ZF senior vice president, Americas, Commercial Vehicle Systems Division. “We’re eager to showcase this new division and our leading technologies at TMC 2022.”

Leading Driveline, Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis Technologies Showcased in Virtual Display

ZF’s show floor exhibit features a virtual tour of the company’s complete product lines for commercial vehicles, including:

  • Chassis technology: air management; suspension solutions; air disc brakes, brake actuators and vacuum pumps
  • Vehicle dynamics: ADAS, Anti-lock braking systems (pneumatic and hydraulic) and steering solutions
  • Driveline components: transmission controls, AMT clutch systems and auxiliary components
  • Driveline systems: transmission systems, Mobility Driveline and axle systems

TrailerCAST for Fleet Intelligence

In addition to its booth display, ZF will showcase its technology trailer outside the convention center, which features TrailerCAST, a telematics technology that offers connectivity services for fleets. It provides GPS position tracking and critical issue alerts, as well as optimized planning of key maintenance cycles, all engineered to interpret and broadcast critical insights to help keep trailers on the road.

“ZF’s TrailerCAST system supports fleets with critical fleet intelligence and real-time vehicle insights to maximize uptime, which enables greater productivity and efficiency,” said Nicola Zingraf Bolton, Head of Digital Solutions, ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions, Americas. “This technology is a key example of ZF’s commitment to offering solutions that support the industry in its drive to become fully electrified, autonomous and connected.”

FOR MEDIA: ZF will offer a guided tour of the ZF technology trailer featuring the full Commercial Vehicle Solutions portfolio of technology, including a TrailerCAST telematics demonstration, and lunch outside of the convention center on Monday, March 7 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. for attending media.
