The Electric Park Brake (EPB) eliminates the need for mechanical cables.  With the EPB solution compact actuators apply the park brake offering improvements in packaging, performance and driver convenience.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) systems combine anti-lock brakes (ABS) and traction control with a lateral stability control function.  ESC systems are specifically designed to help control and maintain the lateral stability of the vehicle. If a potential loss of vehicle control is sensed, ESC automatically applies brake pressure to the appropriate wheel(s) and, if necessary, cuts engine throttle to help bring the vehicle back in line with the driver’s intended path. The ESC systems also provide industry-leading comfort and pedal feel / pulsation with long-life durability. Further noise reduction is also obtained with the high frequency motor speed control option.

Electrically Powered Hydraulic Steering (EPHS) by ZF TRW is an innovative steering technology that allows a conventional hydraulic steering system to run without an engine driven pump. This can be used on conventional petrol and diesel vehicles as well as hybrid and electric vehicles.  The level of assist provided by EPHS can be varied depending on the vehicle speed and rate of steer, giving a tailored steering feel and  substantial fuel savings over traditional hydraulic power steering.  Without the need for a direct connection to the engine an EPHS pump can also ease packaging issues as it can be positioned virtually anywhere in the engine bay, or in any other convenient location where it can be connected to the steering rack.
