With the new Lemförder Service Packs, ZF Services makes steering system and chassis repairs significantly less complicated for workshops. These vehicle-specific fastener sets can be ordered in addition to the respective main component so that all parts required for the repair are available. By the end of the year, 90 Lemförder assembly kits with spare parts in original equipment quality will be available in aftermarket trading for over 250 vehicle models.
On the one hand, the new kits contain the fastening material for the main components to be replaced, such as the control arm or tension strut. On the other hand, the kits also contain fastening agents for the peripheral components. These components have to be loosened or removed during repair in order to replace the defective part. Vehicle manufacturers recommend always replacing all of the loosened bolts and nuts with new ones when spare parts are installed, since their function may be diminished through repeated use. Ordering the main component and the associated fastener set together is significantly quicker and more efficient, since the other components do not have to be additionally identified and ordered.
Up to 70 chassis and steering system parts may have to be installed in a single passenger car. Since these components are safety-relevant, they require special care not only during design and production, but also during assembly. Repairs should be performed exclusively by experts using genuine spare parts.
By the end of the year, ZF Services plans to expand its portfolio to a total of 90 assembly kits for efficient chassis and steering system repair. The portfolio will thus cover over 250 vehicle models from Audi to Volvo with tailor-made Lemförder Service Packs in original equipment quality.
