Entrance into the business of industrial applications and mobile machines

Since 1st December 2015 a total of 900 employees at the new ZF Industrieantriebe Witten GmbH have been reinforcing the world's leading engineering group in its Industrial Technology Division. The merger combines the expertise and the experience of both partners in the development and production of driveline technology and thus defines a clear aim: As one of the globally leading suppliers of gearbox technology ZF wants to focus even more on industrial applications and on supplying existing and new customers with the mega trends of the future.

ZF's complete program of planetary gearboxes is ideal for a wide range of applications and is always perfectly matched for the intended use:
Thanks to a modular gearbox design approach, an extremely wide spectrum of applications can be served – from tunnel boring machines and ropeways to offshore applications. Drive gearboxes move mining vehicles with a weight of up to 800 tonnes. Swing gearboxes position cranes with millimeter accuracy and ensure a fast and reliable rotary movement on excavators. Winch gearboxes lift heavy components from high lifting heights and position them at a safe distance exactly on the intended spot.

ZF planetary gearboxes are characterized by their compact and space-saving design and are extremely resilient and robust.

ZF will be presenting its expanded portfolio of gearboxes for mining applications and large construction machines at the HANNOVER MESSE 2016 trade fair in Hanover, hall 17, booth B42 from 25th to 29th April.
