Friedrichshafen, Germany. A new organization for a New Year: ZF’s Corporate Communications, headed by Christoph Horn, will change its structure on January 1, 2021. It will place an even greater focus on integrated communications practices to support the many facets of a company helping to shape Next Generation Mobility – while considering the experience gained from the Corona pandemic.

ZF Communications to realign

“The past months have been a very intense time for us at ZF – in particular for communications,” says Christoph Horn, Senior Vice President Global Corporate and Marketing Communications. “We have used the recent experience to align the department with future communications requirements. We want to address the media, our customers, and other stakeholders even more individually than before. So, we can cover digital or hybrid formats with focused content that will become particularly important.” The proven approach of integrated communications, which the department will pursue in the future, will thus be given new emphasis.

In the future, customer communications will be handled by the newly formed Corporate Customer Communications team, which brings together employees from various communications and marketing disciplines. Its focus is on the conception and implementation of individual event formats for customers, trade fair appearances and product marketing, with a focus on continuous sales support. It is headed by Robert Buchmeier, currently Head of Technology, Product and Heritage Communications. The two existing spokesperson teams for Business and Finance Communications and Technologies, Products and Heritage will be one team. It will be headed by Andreas Veil, who was previously responsible for Business and Finance Communications at ZF.

Responsibilities in the future spokesperson team

From January 1, the following will speak on behalf of ZF: Andreas Veil (Head of External Communications, Corporate News Relations and Finance Communications), Dr. Jochen Mayer (Corporate News Relations, Finance and Labor Relations Communications), Torsten Fiddelke (Manufacturing, Materials Management and Smart Factory Communications), Frank Discher (Commercial Vehicle Technology and Electric Mobility Communications), Mirko Gutemann (Integrated Safety Systems and Automotive Software Communications) and Jennifer Kallweit (Automated Driving/New Mobility Solutions, Vehicle Motion Control and Active Safety Systems Communications). The spokesperson for Sustainability Communications and Reporting is Wolfgang Miller. As in the past, Head of Communications Christoph Horn is available for media inquiries as well.

Thomas Wenzel, Director Global Corporate Communications, will leave the company at the end of the year at his request to pursue new opportunities outside of ZF. Information on the appointment of a successor to this position will be the subject of a later announcement.

As of the new year, press contacts will be available online at the ZF Press Center at press.zf.com, “Contacts” section.
