Due to the high torque ranges, from 160 up to 600 kNm and beyond, an increase of the torque density has positive effects on the robustness as well as on the entire life cycle of the machines.
At Bauma Shanghai 2020, ZF will be presenting the next generation of drive gearboxes GPT4F for large construction machinery and crawler cranes from 80 to more than 200 tons machine weight.
Based on application and engineering know-how in Witten and in close cooperation with the development capacities of a global ZF R&D network, significant torque increases of up to 10% have are achieved. Advanced design processes as well as calculations and simulations based on the very latest FEM methods have been the principles of the successful project.
