Kassel-Calden/Anaheim. ZF deepen relationship as reliable partner of Airbus: For the new version of the H145 helicopter with the five-bladed rotor, ZF provides parts for the transmission as well as the Advance Dynamic System Unit (ADU). Those are produced exclusively by ZF. Series delivery will start in 2020. These technologies as well as further ZF innovations for aviation are showcased at the HAI Heli-Expo in Anaheim, California.
The new version of the Airbus H145 raises the bar concerning performance, maintenance and comfort. The transmission as well as ADU parts, which are used on the new H145, are produced exclusively by ZF and make a significant contribution to setting these new standards.
The H145´s new five-bladed rotor brings significant increase in useful load, with a maximum take-off weight raised to 3,800 kg and a useful load now equivalent to the aircraft’s empty weight. The simplicity of the new bearingless main rotor design will also ease maintenance operations, further improving the benchmark serviceability and reliability of the H145, while improving ride comfort for both passengers and crew.
At this year’s HAI Heli-Expo, which takes place from January 28 to 30 in Anaheim, California, ZF showcases the transmission as well as the ADU delivery kit for the five-bladed rotor as well as further innovations for the future of aviation.
