At the show, ZF Aftermarket will highlight two major developments for workshop partners: a new AI Voice Agent in ZF [pro]Manager and a new High Voltage Battery Training Program for members of its ZF [pro]Tech network. The company will also present braking innovations, including the sustainable TRW brake fluid.

“Maximizing Uptime is at the heart of enabling seamless mobility. This includes helping our customers work more efficiently, make faster decisions and prepare for the technologies entering the aftermarket,” says Philippe Colpron, Head of ZF Aftermarket. “At Automechanika, we will show how ZF Aftermarket combines technical expertise, digital services and a strong product offering to create tangible value for our partners who keep mobility moving.”

ZF AI Voice Agent Enables 24/7 Workshop Front Desk

One key highlight will be the new AI Voice Agent for ZF [pro]Manager which transforms ZF Aftermarket’s digital workshop management solution into a virtual front desk application. As digitalization reshapes customer interaction and daily operations, the AI Voice Agent adds real-time, natural-language phone interaction to ZF [pro]Manager. The solution is also competing in the AI Solutions & Digitalization category of the Automechanika Innovation Awards 2026.

Unlike a chatbot or a traditional automated phone menu, the AI Voice Agent enables open spoken dialogue. Using automatic speech recognition and natural language understanding, it interprets customer requests, including automotive terminology such as vehicle makes, model names and service types. Connected to live ZF [pro]Manager scheduling data, it can check availability and support appointment handling directly within the workshop’s digital workflow.

For workshops, the benefits are clear: fewer missed calls, less pressure on front-desk teams and improved customer intake, including outside normal opening hours. The AI voice agent answers inbound calls instantly, around the clock, and registers new callers in ZF [pro]manager during the call, capturing contact and vehicle data in a structured way.

Boosting E-Mobility Skills with new Battery Training Program

ZF Aftermarket will also present its new High Voltage Battery Insights Training Program within the ZF [pro]Tech workshop offer. Combining practical training with theoretical understanding, the program helps workshops build advanced expertise in high-voltage battery technology and related components.

The training supports workshops in developing e-Power expertise, improving safety when working with high-voltage batteries and understanding common battery faults and repair challenges. By building these capabilities, workshops can strengthen their position in the growing e-mobility service market and better support customers with complex repair needs.

“Workshops continue to face increasing levels of transformation with rising vehicle complexity and customer expectations for faster, more transparent service,” adds Philippe Colpron. “Our role is to make this transformation manageable. By combining digital tools, technical training, diagnostics and OE-based know-how, we help our partners increase their performance and deliver reliable service every day.”

Showcasing Sustainable Braking Innovations

ZF Aftermarket will also highlight the breadth of its technology portfolio, at Automechanika, with a key focus on braking. The company will introduce its TRW DOT 4 Brake Fluid ESP Recycled a sustainable alternative to conventional brake fluid.

ZF Aftermarket is the first company to bring a brake fluid with recycled content to the market – engineered* for excellence to meet the highest quality and safety standards, delivering long-lasting braking performance. The fluid itself contains 60%** post-consumer recycled material. This launch reflects growing demand from workshops, distributors and drivers for more sustainable aftermarket products.

ZF Aftermarket will showcase its latest innovations at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.
