Driving Sustainable Mobility: ZF Presents Its Latest Technologies at busworld Türkiye

Türkiye represents an increasingly important market and manufacturing hub for ZF, where it supports the needs of modern domestic and export‑oriented bus manufacturers producing in the country. With a strong local presence, digital expertise, integrated safety and driveline systems, ZF is a long‑term partner for the sustainable development of Türkiye’s bus market.

AxTrax 2 LF and e-comp Scroll: Technologies that support electrification

ZF will showcase the AxTrax 2 LF electric portal axle for city buses. Compared with its predecessor, the system delivers average energy consumption savings of 20 percent in SORT (Standardized On-Road Test) cycles, allowing operators to reduce battery capacity requirements or increasing vehicle range. The axle is further enhanced with a ZF health check software. The health check software as a service analyzes e‑drive data remotely to enable condition monitoring and early fault detection, improving vehicle availability, and lowering total operating costs.

ZF will also show its latest air compressor technology for electric commercial vehicles. Designed for medium‑ and heavy‑duty hybrid, battery‑electric and fuel‑cell vehicles, the oil-free compressor e-comp Scroll uses interlocking scrolls to generate compressed air while producing very low levels of noise and vibration. At a nominal operating point of 250 liters per minute, noise emissions are limited to around 67 dB(A), supporting NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) requirements that become more prominent as electrified commercial vehicles grow quieter.

ADAS and GSR II technologies

In the area of active safety, ZF will present its General Safety Regulation (GSR) compliant advanced driver assistance systems suite for buses. The scalable ADAS portfolio integrates camera, radar and software functions to include Intelligent Speed Assist, Blind Spot Information and Driver Drowsiness Warning. These systems enhance safety for drivers, passengers and vulnerable road users while supporting compliant and efficient bus operations.

Digital telematics

ZF will also highlight ZF Bus Connect, its dedicated telematics solution for buses. With flexible product packages and extensive integration options, ZF Bus Connect provides real time vehicle data and operational transparency. The telematics functions are specifically developed for bus applications, enabling operators and manufacturers to monitor vehicle status, optimize fleet performance while supporting predictive maintenance strategies. Latest implementations cover extensive battery analytics as well as condition monitoring for ZF drivetrain solutions such as the AxTrax 2 LF.

The ZF booth at busworld Turkiye can be found in Hall 2, stand A02. The press conference of ZF will be held on June 17 at 4 p.m.
