ZF Windpower Assembly EnVentus

The first EnVentus serial produced powertrain (main shaft, main bearing housing, gearbox and generator in one design) leaves the ZF plant in Lommel (Belgium). Vestas and ZF Wind Power developed this unique design to anticipate the renewable energy growth trajectory. This modular concept, with an output of up to 6.0MW is a solution for the rapidly changing wind industry and will influence the development of next generation wind turbine technology.
